Coop Students
We have three high school co-op students, Hudson, Emily and Sky.
They have their coop placements at different times, so based on the current high school model, Sky and Hudson come one week while Emily is in our room the followingl week.
They come to the room for the full day.
They work with the students and do a variety of language and math games.

Language:
We are working on:
-sounding out while reading and printing words.
-looking at each letter and making its sound and then blending them together.
-saying each sound while printing the letter.
-using sound boxes, along with play dough – to blend words.
Here is a video that explains sound boxes (you can skip to the 2 minute point).
How to Teach Sight Words
-weekly seesaw review activities to support our learning – these can be done at home if you have time.
SEESAW activities that are done incorrectly, are sent back to your child as a draft, so s/he can edit and do them properly.

Fall Walk– Fall has arrived!
This season, you are encouraged to take a walk and discuss the seasonal changes that occur this time of year. As you make observations together, try to think of a question that your child might want to know more about as the explore the seasonal changes.

In our classroom we will look at different types of leaves, acorns, pinecones, milkweed and other natural treasures that we can explore and discuss. Then, we may use them to create craft projects.
